Broadway powerhouse Sara Porkalob takes Center REP by storm in her acclaimed one-woman musical adventure!


Dragon Lady is a solo musical cabaret about the history of a Filipino American family, written and performed by Sara Porkalob.


Plot: On the eve of her 60th birthday, Maria Porkalob Sr. shares her life's secrets with her granddaughter Sara, using a karaoke machine to guide the story. The story spans 50 years, from a 1960s Manila nightclub to a Washington state trailer park.


Characters: Sara portrays many characters from her grandmother's life, including herself as a child.


Musical: The show features a live three-piece jazz band, Hot Damn Scandal, led by Pete Irving. Irving wrote over a dozen new songs for the show.


Michael Velez’s ASL musical talent is not just a performance; it is a heartfelt expression that speaks to the soul.
