May's "Abbie Talk" will feature Clinical Professor Wendy Vaughn (Northern Illinois University College of Law). Professor Vaughn will be answering the questions YOU, the advocates, submit ahead of time! She wants to help advocates better prepare survivors for court, an ongoing topic of discussion for many advocates. This is an informal session with Wendy where you can pick her brain on best practices to help encourage survivors to find their voice in court. How should survivors present and represent themselves in front of a judge? How can they best advocate for what THEY want for their Order of Protection, child custody case, divorce, etc.? Wendy will answer these questions and more!
