Check out the November Living Waters

The Church has celebrated All Saints Day for thousands of years! This is when we remember our loved ones who have transitioned to new life, as well as those whom we’ve never met. You are invited to bring a picture of a loved one to the service on Nov. 5, as a celebration of the saints who surround us. Hebrews 12: 1 says, ‘We are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses..’ and this is our time to honor and remember them. Vigil light candle will be provided for those who are unable to bring a picture. Come, celebrate this ‘Communion of Saints’!

If you are joining online, we welcome you to have a photo or candle for our reflection.

Help at Cherish the Church, Saturday, Nov. 4!

Trustees and the Board of Property ask those who are able to help at Cherish the Church on Saturday morning, Nov. 4. This is our annual Fall clean-up event when we clean, winterize, and get our church into top shape for the winter. Come at 8:30 for coffee and bagels and join the group as we get everything spic and span! All ages and abilities are welcome. Lists of all the many tasks will be provided and you choose the ones you want. It is important and enjoyable!

Friendship Dinners

Our members are looking forward to several small group meal gatherings being held at various homes. So many folks have signed up to attend that we have openings for only two dates at this time—

  • Brunch hosted by Lori Myren-Manbeck and Ray Caron on Nov. 11, at 11 a.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 13, 5:30 p.m., hosted by Dawn Carlson Conn

If you are interested in sharing a meal and conversation with other folks, please let me know if you are able to attend this gathering!

Please call, text or email me if you would like to attend!

Service Opportunity Fair Nov. 19!

Many of the volunteer service opportunities in which RPUCC members participated were suspended during Covid. Now they are up and running, and in great need of volunteers. This is a fun opportunity to get to know other members in a small RPUCC service group and to help others!  Members representing various community ministries will be available after church on Nov. 19, Stewardship Sunday.  Check out Crisis Nursery, Prism/Northpoint, Hope4Kids, Mobility Worldwide and more. Grab a piece of pie and sign up!

Loose Change Offering

The Loose Change offerings for November will support Protect Minnesota (www.protectmn.org). This is an independent, statewide gun violence prevention organization which envisions a state in which the systemic inequities that cause gun violence are eliminated, ending prominent manifestations of gun violence. These include homicide, suicide, community gun violence and police gun violence.
