As of today, November 16th, we have received pledges from 28 families and individuals who have pledge $91,464.00 and are 40% half way of our pledging goal! Remember, every bit helps. We are hopeful you will join your church family as we embrace our stewardship theme More Than Enough and celebrate God’s overflowing grace and provision in our lives.
Pledge cards are available on the table in the Atrium, or you can pledge electronically by clicking here or by contacting the church office. You can place your pledge card in the offering plate, leave it in the office, or mail it.
The annual giving campaign will end on this Sunday, November 19 and all pledges will be blessed during the Sunday service. Your pledge allow us to make smart, informed decisions in regards to our 2024 budget. Thank you for your financial support of our church, and its ministries and programs.

Jazz Night Festival & Men's Day Celebration a Success!
On behalf of all the Knights of St. Philip’s, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all for their support of the Jazz Night Festival and Men’s Day Celebration. The purpose of this drive is to help St. Philip’s Church and the community. All monies realized from the Jazz Festival and Men’s Day Celebration help to support the church and its programs.
This year we raised approximately $3,000 which will be donated to St. Philip’s Church where funds will be used to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). It is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It's a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm. Training is included in the donation for anyone who would like to receive it.
I like to recognize Larry Clark, Churchman of the Year, Tim Brown, Moses Golatt, Nathaniel Lewis, and Reginald Carter, Certificate of Appreciation of Recognition of Loyalty and Service to St. Philip’s. They are the "Swiss Army Knives” of St. Philip’s. Lastly Rev. Marlene E. Forrest, and Diem Miller, staff of St. Philip’s for their support.

A heartfelt THANKS to all my Brother Knights, family and friends for again volunteering their time, support and generosity.
John “Jay” Williams, Sr.
President

PRACTICE GRATITUDE AND CHANGE THE WORLD.
Happy Thanksgiving!
The United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church. Through UTO, individuals are invited to embrace and deepen a personal daily spiritual discipline of gratitude. UTO encourages people to notice the good things that happen each day, give thanks to God for those blessings and make an offering for each blessing using a UTO Blue Box. UTO is entrusted to receive the offerings, and to distribute the 100% of what is collected to support innovative mission and ministry throughout The Episcopal Church and Provinces of the Anglican Communion. You can fill the UTO Box, write a check to St. Philip's Episcopal Church and add UTO Ingathering in the memo line, or click here to doante online...Give to UTO.

Prayers for those preparing for Confirmation & Reception
Lord, You send out Your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people, so that they may believe in You and in Jesus whom You sent. Look kindly on all candidates for Confirmation and Reception, especially Vivienne Brown, LaAnja McLendon Gough, Gavin Johnson, Keith Jones, Adam Martinez and Lornel Thompkins, as they listen to Your voice. Open their hearts to Your Spirit and bring to fulfilment the good work that You have begun in them.

As we prepare these, your children for Confirmation and Reception, make each of us an instrument of Your love. Teach us to appreciate what is holy in
others, and to be patient with what we do not understand. Deepen our faith in the Gospel and help us to pass it on by our example. We pray that You will continue to guide us and sustain us. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
