Be Born in Us Today Advent Series

Starts Sunday, November 27

Join us for the Be Born in Us Today special service for the first week of Advent, a season when we are reminded of the birth of Christ. In this service, we recall that God promised Abraham that an offspring from his line would bring blessing to all. That offspring was Jesus. And he is born in us today.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you St. Francis Guild, Nathaniel Lewis, volunteers, and all who donated goods for the Thanksgiving baskets! Your time, talent, and generosity mean the world to people we serve!

Thanks for all you do! All of your volunteer work and donations are greatly appreciated. We at St. Philip's Episcopal Church are so grateful for your hard work! We love our volunteers and members that help make it possible to feed families in need!

Sunday School Resumes

Starts December 11

St. Philip's church school leaders are happy to announce that Sunday school classes will return next month. At this time, we need input from our church family. Please take a moment to click on the link below and fill out the brief survey. This survey is intended to help us gather information on how we can make Sunday school a more exciting experience for our St. Philip's youth. As always, we are looking for helpful advice from our church family that will assist us to enhance the experience of St. Philip's children. Thank you for your time and input.

One Month Left to Apply to Triangle of Hope Youth Pilgrimage 2023 to Liverpool

Please help us get the word out that only one month remains to apply for next summer's trip. We are seeking current eighth-graders and high schoolers who are interested in their faith and looking to learn and engage with the historic legacy of the Mid-Atlantic slave trade. This three-diocese program has been years in the making. There will be pilgrims from Kumasi, Ghana, Liverpool, England, and Virginia. Each diocese has up to 15 pilgrims plus chaperones. Ideally, students will be current eighth- or ninth-graders, so they can finish the pilgrimage before graduating from high school. Costs and other information are on the application form. Please contact the Rev. Rock Higgins with any questions.
