Stock Gumshoe Daily Update
April 4, 2011

Greetings, Gumshoe readers!
Please click here for today's new article.

Thanks to the family connections of Madame Gumshoe, we're about as close to Poland as you can get without going to Warsaw or Hamtramck ... but we're in it for the pierogies and galumpkies (mmmm), Ian Wyatt is in it for the natural gas.  We've seen teasers about Polish shale gas before, but his enthusiasm had me intrigued -- which stock is he touting?  Just click here to see what the Thinkolator sez.

Or if that doesn't shred your kapusta, just read on ...

Miss anything in Gumshoedom last week?

It all started, long ago and far away ... on Monday, with a teaser from Dr. Kent Moors that inspired a lot of discussion.  He's got the idea that will be 15,566% better than oil (apparently his forecasting is very precise), and a pick that's a play on solar power ... particularly the giant, utility-scale version.  Click here for that story.

Later in that week we got the teaser ad that sounded a bit like one of those lottery scams that we've all seen in our inbox, all about an elderly woman in San Diego whose "dying wish" could lead to you getting an extra $4,000 in your wallet.  As usual, there's some truth behind the tease (but no, there's not a check on the way from the 92037 zip code for you ... sorry).  The story is here.

Patrick Cox has a new ad out that teases a handful of high-tech breakthrough stocks that he says might be bringing us a "printing press moment" and changing the world the same way Gutenberg's movable type did centuries ago.  On Wednesday I got us rolling with a look at the first two of these stocks, which are both doing cool things in the biotech arena, details in that article here.

And on Thursday we followed up and started looking at the rest of his little biotechs -- there are seven in all, so the Thinkolator is still a little tired -- that could change the world as they bring us to "printing press moments" -- just click here for the details.

I continue to get more questions about Ian Wyatt's "8.2% Bank Account" than any other recent teaser ad, so that was our free site rerun this week -- in case you missed that the first time around our story on it is still available here, it came out just over a month ago.  And as of Friday's close, the yield is now actuall exactly 8.5%, so the stock hasn't moved.  Oops, I just gave it away -- it's a stock, not a bank account.  Dangit.  Well, you can go read it anyway if you like.

And if you're a member of the mighty, mighty band of Irregulars (that'd be the folks who send us money, and who are all unusually attractive and erudite), you should have received your Friday File -- if not, it's on the Irregulars site here.
