I promised you I would highlight local arts groups during this no-live-events time...ones whose events I would normally PICK for this blog.  Herewith is my " (Almost) Daily Dose Arts PICKS " round-up from last week (April 6-10). Click on each logo or image below for my write-ups.  Enjoy! And be on the lookout each week for my email with the round-ups, or see them online Monday-Friday  here . They'll keep coming as long as the doors are still closed...you know I love the arts and want to help them however I can!

Tonight would have been the kick-off for the Houston Art Car Parade weekend, all events of which have been cancelled (SIGH). My Phoenix Rising Art Car and I are really sad, as are so many of my artist friends and our audience. HOWEVER: there is a virtual art car parade happening this Saturday (4/18) and this Sunday (4/19)! Click on this link to follow along. Many of the artists (including yours truly) created clips of our art cars to be featured in this digital wonder, and there will also be clips from other parades and lots of fun-and-colorful surprises.  Enjoy it all...and be sure to mark your calendar for next year's parade on < S ATURDAY, APRIL 17, 2021 >!

I'm excited to announce that I am doing <another> virtual labyrinth walk at the Hines Center for Spirituality on <SATURDAY, APRIL 25 AT 10AM>. Please click here for the link to register; you'll be sent the Zoom meeting info after that. Please note that it is donation-based and we would appreciate any amount you can give. We will be doing a finger labyrinth together in a creative way, so if you have one, please grab it. If not,
please download this one in advance to print up or to use from your screen

Our city and our world will recover from the virus!  In the meantime: wash your hands, social distance, stay healthy, enjoy the arts digitally, and rest/rest/rest.
