I promised you I would highlight local arts groups during this no-live-events time...ones whose events I would normally PICK for my blog. So I began  my " (Almost) Daily Dose Arts PICKS " round-up that I write each week (see past editions here, here, here, here, and here) I'll  keep my PICKS coming as long as the doors are still closed...you know I love the arts and want to help them however I can!

However...I took a break from ARTS PICK-ing last week, so my round-up for you this week is NATURE SPOTS that I recommend. As always, click on the logo or image below and you'll get more info. The weather is mighty fine so git out there and enjoy! Be sure to grab your masks, practice social distancing, and wash your hands before and after. COVID-19 has not been wiped out, in fact the numbers will be spiking so puleeeze stay safe. If you'd rather stay inside, the "Wild and Scenic" film festival that's sponsored by the Bayou Land Conservancy and supported by the Houston Green Film Series is back this year, virtually, from May 11-15. Click here for details.

And -- as I told you last week, I'm doing quick Facebook Live chats here at high noon daily through Friday, May 15, sharing my thoughts about my "12 Ways to Ignite Your Life Daily" -- 12 Ways, for 12 days, at 12 noon! The 12 Ways are the cornerstone of my IGNITE YOUR LIFE! art project  and I'm passionate about everyone learning about them. Being ignited for your life is a firewall to ADDICTION, ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, and ISOLATION -- so it's good stuff anytime, but especially during quarantine. You can see the full list of the 12 Ways here.

I'm looking forward to interacting with all of you so please tune in. My first two videos are here and here. Enjoy!

And now -- those NATURE SPOTS...

Our city and our world will recover from the virus!  In the meantime: wash your hands, social distance, stay healthy, enjoy the arts digitally and nature up close, and rest/rest/rest.

P.S. If you want to IGNITE YOUR LIFE! now or anytime, check out my " 12 Ways to Ignite Your Life Daily." I'm very proud of that list and hope it will help you live a better life. Meditation, taking care of yourself, enjoying life and laughing -- plus more! -- is what will get us through this global pandemic.
