【Aneuro New Product Launched】 Tau-441 PFFs Assist in AD Modeling

>>News Express

Eli Lilly recently announced positive clinical results from a Phase 3 clinical study of Donanemab, which was stratified by brain Tau protein deposition levels and showed that Donanemab slowed clinical and functional decline by 35% in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). Based on these results, Lilly will proceed with global submission as soon as possible and expects to submit a marketing application to the FDA within this quarter.

AD is a complex neurodegenerative disease, its pathology has not yet been defined. As the brand of ACROBiosystems that focused on neuroscience, Aneuro offers a range of PFFs to support and accelerate the establishment of reliable neurodegenerative models. Based on stable, quantifiable characterization and validation of reproducible protocols, the structural features and mechanisms of activity of PFFs in disease models will be better defined, allowing for their application in large-scale drug screening and testing.

Verification Data

  •   PFFs activity (ThT assay)

Thioflavin T emission curves show increased fluorescence (correlated to tau aggregation) over time when tau wild-type monomers (Cat. No. TAU-H5117) are combined with tau wild-type Pre-formed Fibrils (Cat. No. TAU-H5115) (QC tested).

Request for Protocol
  •  PFFs morphology (electron microscopy)

Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) of Tau-441 preformed fibrils (Cat. No. TAU-H5115). Fibril structure is visible on negative stain TEM images of TAU-H5115 (Routinely tested).

  • PFFs bioactivity (cell-base assay)

Confocal image of 4% Paraformaldehyde-fixed, 0.1% TritonX-100 permeabilized SH-SY5Y cells previously treated with 10 μg/mL Tau-H5115 showed cytoplasmic aggregation of Tau PFFs. Tau-PFFs was stained by thioflavin S (Green). The Nuclear counterstain was DAPI (Blue) (Routinely tested).
