We are writing to inform you that due to the extraordinary events occurring around the globe and here at home, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming production of Annie at Stray Dog Theatre . While we appreciate the excitement that has surrounded this production, we must ensure the safety of all of our artists, audiences, and staff. As we have rehearsed over the past three weeks, our theatre family has worked hard to bring this story of love, laughter, and optimism to life. We believe the message behind Annie is more important than ever during these uncertain times and we look forward to bringing it back to the stage soon.

We are currently working to solidify plans to move the production to new dates and we will let everyone know as soon as we have more definitive information. We will honor all tickets already purchased to any of the new performance dates once they are announced. We have currently halted sales and there will be a grace period where current ticket holders will have the opportunity to exchange tickets before they become available to the general public again. The exact process of exchanging your tickets will be laid out within the coming weeks. However, if you do not wish to wait for an exchange, you have two options: you may request a full refund, or you may donate your tickets back to the theatre. If you would like to request a refund, you will fall into one of two categories: 1) if you purchased your tickets online, you will need to contact Brown Paper Tickets at refunds@brownpapertickets.com (please be sure to include your order confirmation number); 2) if you purchased your tickets directly through Stray Dog Theatre , you will need to contact the Box Office at 314-865-1995. Season Subscribers will be contacted directly in the coming weeks to determine how you would like to handle your current tickets.

We are currently planning to hold the remainder of the 2019-2020 season as scheduled. Any changes or additional information will be shared as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

We would like to thank everyone for the hard work they’ve already put into the production and we would like to thank you for your patience as we work to bring you the quality story telling you, our family, deserve. Annie is that bit of light we all need right now, “the sun will come out tomorrow” and we will overcome anything. We know we are not the only organization dealing with these difficult decisions and we stand with them, ready to come back stronger. Your continued support of all arts organizations is always appreciated but never more than in times like these. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Please stay safe and be kind to one another.
