2nd Annual COC Festival

Last year 250 clients attended the Festival. We had games and prizes aimed at the clients we serve. We served grilled hot dogs and sides, and Mel LaMar presented a magic/puppet shows that shared how to know Jesus (one in English and one in Spanish). Everything was given at no cost (as always), in Jesus’ name. We are excited to celebrate again this year on May 31st 9-12:00 at the COC.

Free Support for the COC

Your can give to the COC by shopping at King Soopers. There are now 17 households signed up. In March we received a check for$126.12 from 1st quarter. That's "free" money for the COC! Would you add to these 17 households by signing up as well?

Follow the instructions above to get on board.

Cold Weather Response

Thank you for responding to the request for cold weather needs. We were able to make extra purchases including gloves, and sweatpants, Additionally, several people found some extra coats in their closets that they donated. THANK YOU!

Hebrews 10:24 says "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works."

Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For, with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. LUKE 6:28

Volunteer Spotlight

The Community Outreach Center survives because people (YOU) bring us donations of all kinds including food, clothing, blankets, towels, kitchen wares, toys and cash donations! We are so grateful and because you give, we give, too...all for free and given in Jesus' Name. We NEED your donations!

But did you know that since January we have received 11 tons of donations? At the end of March, we had received 22,000+ pounds of “donation gifts,” from You! How in the world do we sort, size, hang, fold, wash, shelf, categorize all those “gifts?”

It is a huge job that takes hundreds of volunteer hours! One volunteer, Carla Engels, is one of the reasons we get so much done. She works so hard to get all those donations into the hands of volunteers, to have it put on our shopping floor in an organized manor. She has a background in staging housewares and clothing and uses her experience to set up our shopping area so well that families that come to shop for needed items, can find them in the labeled areas just like a department store! She is organized, thoughtful, energized and full of compassion for our shoppers. Carla is the “Energizer Bunny” at the COC, and we could not help as many people without her desire to make the COC a better place to shop and to help the Lord’s Families! We are so grateful for her time and her effort and her willingness to serve!

It's Warming Up

We are switching our racks from winter to summer items so, bring in your spring/summer clothing. We do have limited storage for off season items so, if possible, save the winter stuff for later.
