The Grand Council’s upcoming Affiliated Presidents and Delegates meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The meeting will commence at 7:30 p.m., and refreshments, including Emerald fellowship, will be provided. The meeting will be held at Manor Oktoberfest of Forest Hills at 73-11 Yellowstone Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375.
Our Third Annual Cigar Night will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Vetro Restaurant and Lounge by Russos on the Bay 164-49 Cross Bay Blvd, Howard Beach, New York, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Please see the next section below for more details.
The Emerald Dinner Circuit commences from October to May, featuring several significant events. The first event is the PAPD ES 60th Anniversary Party, scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Public Taylor House in New York City. Following this, the NYCD ES 70th Anniversary Dinner will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Antun’s of Queens Village. Lastly, the FDNY ES 69th Anniversary Dinner will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 7:30 PM at Antun’s of Queens Village. These events represent just the first two months of the Emerald Dinner Circuit. Further information and flyers are available in the Emerald events section.

Cigar Night
The Grand Council cordially invites you to attend our Third Annual Cigar Night on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Vetro Restaurant and Lounge by Russos on the Bay 164-49 Cross Bay Blvd, Howard Beach, New York, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Your presence at the event will not only be a memorable night out but also make a significant contribution to the Irish American Baseball Society. A portion of the proceeds from the event will directly support this cause. Over the past two years, we have been fortunate enough to donate $10,000 to the Project Children and $10,000 to the Fighting 69th Regimental Trust. On Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the Francis P. Beirne, NY County Division will host a cocktail reception to honor TWU of America International President John Samuelsen. John, a proud member of the NYCTA ES, was our 2025 Irishman of the Year and the 2025 GCUES Aide to the Grand Marshal, Michael Benn. The event will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the division’s recharting in 1949. The reception will be held at Rosie O’Grady’s, located at 148 West 51st, New York, New York.

Dual Compensation Off-Set Waiver for Police Officers Approved for Rehires: This announcement is being used to recruit CSRS and FERS annuitants on a limited basis with a waiver of salary offset (if a dual compensation waiver is requested) under certain specified circumstances not to exceed 4 years excluding annuitants with early voluntary and buyout retirements.
Annuitants who are reemployed with a salary offset (dual compensation) waiver are eligible for:
Full annuity and full Federal salary.
Annual and sick leave (not applicable for an intermittent work schedule)
Full-time work schedules.
Receive overtime (on a full schedule). Overtime hours are counted towards maximum hour limitations.
New hires under this authority will be offered a non-status, not-to-exceed term appointment in the excepted service which may be extended based on the needs of the agency.
