November 2019 Exhibit
Benita Keller’s “Looking Through Rose Colored Glasses & Scrapbook #5: Revisiting The Pink Trailer” will be on view at the Washington County Arts Council through December 3, 2019.
December 2019 Exhibit
The Washington County Arts Council, Inc. hosts its “Annual Community Art Show: The Best Local Art of 2019.” The juried community art exhibit will run from December 5, 2019 through January 7, 2020 with an opening reception on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 5pm to 7pm. Awards sponsored by Hagerstown A & E District with support from the City of Hagerstown.

The Arts Council sincerely thanks this year’s jurors:

Mark Youngblood
Mark Youngblood has been a photography teacher at Barbara Ingram School for the Arts as an Artist in Residence since the opening of the school in 2009. Mr. Youngblood is the owner of Youngblood Studios and has been a professional photographer for over 30 years. Mr. Youngblood attended Hagerstown Community College and then Shepherd University. Mr. Youngblood holds memberships in several professional photography organizations, including being named commercial and portrait photographer of the year in the state of Maryland.

Teresa Roberts
Dr. Teresa Roberts earned a BA in Fine Arts from Macalester College, an Interdisciplinary MEd in the visual arts and education from Frostburg State University, and a PhD in Art Education from The Ohio State University. Dr. Roberts taught visual arts in Maryland public secondary schools for 25 years including 9 years at Barbara Ingram School for the Arts in Hagerstown. Dr. Roberts has taught studio art, art appreciation, and art education courses at Frostburg State University, Allegany College, The Ohio State University and the Wexner Center for the Arts. Dr. Roberts has exhibited in a variety of locations throughout the country and has won scholarships and awards for her work.

A free holiday show featuring talented youth performers from Ballet and All That Jazz, Boonsboro Dance Academy, Barbara Ingram Dance Department, Seed Dance Company/ Bloom Dance Studio, Fresh Academicz, Hagerstown Community College Dance, Dancin Time Studios, and Washington County Show Kids & Show Co.

This free show is a Hagerstown tradition! Be sure to visit the Main Street Hagerstown Christkindl Markt (10 am-4 pm) and stay for the City Center Tree Lighting (4-6 pm) - all on the same day!
