January 2020 Exhibit
The Washington County Arts Council presents “Pure Spirits the works of Robert Stuart Cohen” at the Gallery from January 9, 2020 through February 4, 2020 with an Opening Reception on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 5pm until 7pm.

The Arts Council will host Mr. Cohen’s Artist Talk on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 2pm to 4pm.

Mr. Cohen says, “A love of color, variety and illusion define my artistic endeavor. Currently, I am visualizing a dynamic, rectangular plane in various contexts. I try to balance the rational and impulsive by using both carefully rendered and spontaneous techniques. I incorporate variety by combining various styles and assembling multiple canvases. The resulting images are metaphors for balancing order and freedom, extending boundaries, and bridging differences.”
February 2020 Exhibit
The Tenth Annual Washington County Art Educators Exhibit opens at the Washington County Arts Council on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 5pm until 7pm. The exhibit which continues through March 3, 2020 will feature an Artist Talk on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 2pm until 4pm.

The exhibit, sponsored in part by the Mary K. Bowman Historical and Fine Arts Fund, a fund of the community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc. provides an opportunity for the community to view recent works by Washington County's public, private, home-school, postsecondary and retired art educators.
