Visitors will be able to view the current exhibitions, of artists Lesley Whalley and Dana Ebersole which open in the gallery on July 2, 2020 and “virtually” on the WCAC website on July 7, 2020.
Valley Art Opening
The Mansion House Art Center is reopening on July 3, 2020 featuring a new Valley Art exhibit: "Art Is For Everyone"
The Mansion House Art Center which is located at 501 Highland Way, Hagerstown will be following the safety and health recommendations of the Governor and Heath Officials. Hours are every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday .
2020 Washington Goes Purple
Call for Artists

The Washington County Arts Council, Inc. (WCAC) and Washington Goes Purple invite local artists working in any medium to submit their art for a September 2020 exhibit, “Purple - the Color of Recovery.” The juried community art exhibit will be on display virtually and in the gallery from August 27, 2020 through September 29, 2020. “Purple - the Color of Recovery,” while recognizing the impact of the opioid epidemic, celebrates recovery and the hope that we will heal as a community.”
Faces of Hagerstown
2nd Outdoor Photo Mural Exhibition Celebrating the People of Hagerstown
Let’s capture Hagerstown, Maryland, and its people.
The City of Hagerstown, in partnership with the Washington County Arts is pleased to announce the second exhibition of Faces of Hagerstown (FOH), a signature public art feature of the Hagerstown Cultural Trail.
Faces of Hagerstown is a large-scale outdoor photo mural gallery focusing on the human face and the truth of the Hagerstown experience. It will be located along the Hagerstown Cultural Trail in two prominent locations: (1) on a layered chain link mesh screening at the West Antietam Street Entrance Plaza, (2) on custom pole covers along the Lee Street segment of the Trail, and also on the brick walls of Artist Alley.

Authentic Community Theatre

New classes for our Fall 2020 Semester! 
Starting in September!

These classes are for all ages of young actors! Students study and explore acting, character development, and stage craft through improvisation and ensemble work, monologues, and scenes. Students learn about theatre basics as well, including stage direction, theatre etiquette, theatre vocabulary, and rehearsal and memorization techniques.

Students will perform a one-act show/scene during their end of semester showcase!
NEW Audition Prep class will help students prepare for performance based auditions. Classes will cover resumes, vocal performance, and acting techniques to prepare a full audition piece that will be performed at the Fall Semester Showcase!

***This class is perfect for students looking to apply and audition for a Magnet Program or School!***

ACT has revamped the Musical Theatre class to be BETTER THAN EVER! Students will meet for 1 hour each week and will learn from a music instructor, dance instructor, and acting instructor throughout the semester!
The end of semester showcase will pull together a cohesive work from all parts of their instruction throughout the semester in partnership with our other class themes!

ACT offer lessons in voice and piano as well as individual audition prep sessions. The space is limited per instructor so a request must be made before the lessons can be scheduled. Audition preparations can be scheduled individually. All other lessons (voice, piano, etc) are scheduled in groups of 4 lessons at a time. Each student can sign up on a month to month or semester by semester basis.
NEW Home School Classes are now open to ALL Home School Families! Home school classes are available during the day on Wednesdays. Students may participate in more than one program. Discounts will apply for multiple students in the same household as follows:
