The second annual Washington Goes Purple exhibit "Purple: The Color of Recovery" is now open. Visitors can view "Purple: The Color of Recovery" in the Main Gallery from August 27, 2020 through September 28, 2020 while wearing masks and socially distancing. The exhibit can also be viewed “virtually.”

City Park Summer Concert Series 2020 Continues

Join the City of Hagerstown in partnership with the Washington County Arts Council for free concerts at the City Park Band Shell! Bring your own blanket or a lawn chair and maintain social distance between yourself and others at the event. Limited seating will be available on the band shell benches. Treat yourself to concessions at Nena's Curbside Cafe, located by the new playground in City Park! Guests will be asked to maintain social distance and follow CDC health & safety guidelines. Concert begins at 6pm.

Annual Community Art Show:
The Best Local Art of 2020
The Washington County Arts Council, Inc. invites local artists working in any medium to submit their best new works for WCAC’s “Annual Community Art Show: The Best Local Art of 2020.” The juried community art exhibit will be on display virtually and in the gallery from December 3, 2020 through January 5, 2021.

Submission Deadline: October 24, 2020

The Mansion House Art Center announces its September 2020 show: Working Life: Hands, Mind & Heart which will run from Friday, September 4, 2020 through Sunday September 27, 2020.

Regional Arts Summit Save the Date!

The Regional Arts Summits are back and this year we are virtual! Join us for statewide updates from the Maryland State Arts Council, arts content-specific breakout groups, community sharing, and more – with options to connect with staff during daytime virtual office hours!

The MSAC’s Regional Arts Summits will be held virtually from 4:00PM - 6:30PM on Tuesdays beginning September 15 through October 20, convening artists and arts organizations from varying regions of the state. For regional schedules, session descriptions, and to register, please visit our website.
