Calabasas, January 30, 2018 : After ten successful years in the US and three years in Europe, BSMA is bringing together the executives of the bio-pharma industry in India to address the challenges and opportunities of supply chain management at its inaugural conference in Hyderabad on the 23 rd of February. The conference titled, “Building the Global SCM Community for the Bio-pharma Industry in India” , is being organized in collaboration with   the Federation of Asian Biotech Associations ( FABA ) which currently represents 20 Asian Countries with common objective of promoting human health through advances in Life Sciences. The conference will be an integral part of  BioAsia   which welcomes around 1.000 participants and people from 50 countries.

BSMA India is the result of a fruitful collaboration between BSMA USA (San Francisco) and BSMA Europe (Belgium) to complete building the global community of BSMA. The venue of the confluence is Hyderabad , known as the Indian tech valley and named as the 5th most dynamic city in the world according to World Economic Forum. Ashok Srivastava , the former Vice President of Manufacturing at P&G, will serve as the Country Head of BSMA India.

Devendra Mishra , the Executive Director of BSMA, and Franck Toussaint , Executive Director of BSMA Europe, observed, “ Today India is among the top 12 biotech destinations in the world and ranks third in the Asia-Pacific region. We wish to build the community of supply chain management professionals to help the bio-pharma companies serve the global market. Collaboration among the stakeholders of the industry will be the driving force for innovation. We believe supply chain management is a strategic enabler for India to become the 3 rd largest economy in the world in a few decades. We can accelerate India’s emergence as a leading destination for clinical trials, contract research and manufacturing .”
