Discover the FY24 Annual Report
The recently released FY24 Annual Report provides a comprehensive look at Barnstable County’s accomplishments over the past fiscal year. It includes a Letter to the Community from the Barnstable County Board of Regional Commissioners, which highlights many of the ways the County has made an impact.
A Few Highlights from the Letter to the Community include:
- County leadership opposing the proposed machine gun range at Joint Base Cape Cod to protect drinking water.
- ARPA-Funded Investments: Allocating over $11.4 million for affordable housing projects, supporting the creation of 320 housing units, and addressing critical needs across the region.
- Fiscal Responsibility: Maintaining an AA+ bond rating while implementing a financial stability plan to strengthen long-term health and fund key infrastructure projects.
- Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Test Center (MASSTC)
- AmeriCorps Cape Cod Milestone: Marking 25 years of service with nearly one million hours contributed, including a remarkable effort rescuing over 100 stranded Atlantic white-sided dolphins in Wellfleet—the largest mass stranding in 25 years.
