Today is my last day of my summer in west cork. After 2 glorious months it surely has been a summer to remember.

It was such a pleasure to share this beautiful part of the world with those of you who joined me in here on Bere Island on our running retreats.

The rest of you will just have to come visit another time, or indeed check out some of our photos from the summer in Beara.

September Plans

My thoughts now move to autumn routines and getting back and seeing many of you in person on the beach and planning further into the marathon in October, Beaujolais in November and our Christmas runs. Yes, we do plan that far ahead.

But here is what we have coming up this September.

Clontarf and Sandymount Classes: Aoife and I will kick off our Sandymount and Clontarf term on Monday 12th Sept and have options for beginners, improvers and all of you ladies in need of a gentle kick out the door. Timetable and Booking

Informal Meetups : Before we start on our formal class term, we will arrange some meetups in Phoenix Park and Donabate and Sandymount to help ease us into autumn. Full details will be up on Tuesday on our FTG Community Facebook group.

Running Technique Workshops : On Thursday 15th Sept I will have an evening Feel Better Running workshop in Sandymount. This is perfect for you if you feel you could do with making your running feel less effort and more enjoyable. Workshop details and booking.

Beaujolais Training and Planning : 11 weeks to go and I'll be in touch with everyone going soon with training plans and some extra logistical tips. I still have 2 spots left! Get in touch if you are tempted.

Marathon Coaching : My marathon gang are half way exactly through training today! 8 weeks complete and 8 weeks to go. They are such a fab bunch and I will be arranging more meetups and getting this lovely group a chance to meet eachother after 8 weeks virtually supporting eachother.

Behind the scenes : As always there is plenty going on. 2023 retreats, adventures and workshops are being planned and also you will notice new booking systems online and plenty writing about running. Will keep you posted..

But it’s not September yet

Especially if you are making a comeback to running in September, have a read of this article and spend a few minutes over a cuppa to set your intentions for the autumn ahead. 5 Tips for Getting Back Running
