Big Impact Empowering Potential
End of Year Celebrations!

We love to celebrate our LIttles accomplishments as they finish up their school year.

  • Beyond School Walls - Special thanks to our Atrium Health partner for hosting another impact Beyond School Walls workplace mentoring program. Throughout the year, our Matches discussed topics including goal setting, public speaking, financial literacy and leadership in action.

  • Bigs in Badges & School Based matches had a great year developing their relationship with law enforcement professionals and community member. Each week mentors met with their little at lunch. This special time resulted in social and emotional growth for our Littles evident by their improved relationships and behavior insider and outside the classroom.

  • High School Bigs - 50 high school students from around Cabarrus County sharpened their leadership skills and mentoring abilities as Bigs in our afterschool program at the Boy's & Girls Club. Every week our Bigs and Littles met to complete homework assignments, read and of course have some fun.

Going Big and Beyond is what many of our Bigs do! We just had to CELEBRATE BIG! We recognized 24 Bigs for going above and beyond in 2018-19.

John Robbins, founding Cabarrus Steering Committee member who brought one to one mentoring to Cabarrus County 15 years ago this fall received our 1st ever "Big and Beyond" Award in recognition for his tireless passion & enthusiasm for bringing resources and mentoring to Cabarrus County. Many community leaders joined him in those early years to start our program. We wouldn't be where we are today without their efforts. Celebrate Big is an annual appreciation event.
