Welcome to a new school year! A time for new beginnings and familiar connections.
Welcome to the Class of 2020 as they start a new journey on their path to knowledge and truth. As we begin the second year of our newsletter, what a great time to reflect on a few highlights of the past year as well as our plans for the new year.

We are beginning our second year of the President-Principal leadership model
.
The first year saw many accomplishments including the opening of the Lou and Irene Bachrodt Center for Health and Fitness and the culmination our five year Imagine campaign with the support of over 10,000 donors. The benefits of the campaign also included further capital improvements, support of our Annual Giving Program and our Educational Foundation. We expanded our efforts to tell Boylan Catholic's great story through our new e-newsletter, increased social media efforts, and a dynamic marketing plan which includes messaging, branding, and encouraging more people to learn about Boylan Catholic.
A new year creates the opportunity to set new goals. These include strategic planning, enrollment and marketing, Catholic identity, and advancement.

We are excited to craft our road map for the next five years with a new Strategic Plan.
Our last plan was created in 2008. Today many of those goals have been realized, and we look forward to this new plan with the support of our Board of Consultors, faculty, students, parents, pastors, and elementary school principals.
We will be expanding our important enrollment efforts through marketing and communication to include a new, updated website soon. In the coming weeks we will launch the Parent Ambassador Program, headed by a group of parents dedicated to the positive promotion of Boylan Catholic to help sustain and grow enrollment.

As the fall athletic season began, we implemented the Sports Leader Program. This is a Catholic virtue-based formation program for coaches based on the four pillars of Virtue, Mentoring, Ceremony, and Catholic Identity. It allows us to create an intentional and structured curriculum to help form leaders and teach virtue to our students. Moving forward, we will roll it out to each season of teams. You can learn more about the program at
www.sportsleader.org.

Advancement efforts continue,
focusing on the Annual Giving Program. There are numerous ways to support Boylan, and no gift is too small. Through the generosity of faculty, students, parents, alumni and friends, we can sustain and grow our Annual Fund which provides one third of our students with financial assistance. Our mission is to make it possible for every stu
dent who desires a Boylan education to obtain it.
The Advancement Office also sponsors many great events. These are open to everyone, and we welcome all of you. Some of our more current event dates are listed in this newsletter. You may visit our website at
www.boylan.org
. for the entire year's calendar. We hope you can join us and we look forward to seeing you.
