Dear Viewer,

I hope this finds you all well, or at least doing better than you have been! I know we have had some folks sick the last few weeks, and we are lifting you up. I especially want to ask you to continue keeping our brother, Art Fisher, in prayer, as he is home recovering from several heart attacks.

I have been thrilled with what is happening as we begin to BUILD during this pandemic. Several of you have reached out to talk about new ministries, and some are learning new technology to be able to lead in some of the programming. Our Media Team is busy at work getting quotes for new media equipment to make our online ministry more stable. Our Creative Worship Team is meeting every week to plan for our present and future. In fact, we are already planning for our upcoming 52nd Anniversary! In the next week, you'll receive a survey asking about your feelings on how we celebrate our anniversary in the event we are still not able to gather at the church. Please watch your e-mail for the survey. (If you don't receive the survey by next Friday, please let us know!)

I also want to encourage you to take a look at the mid-year reports posted on our website from our Board of Directors. Since the pandemic prevented us from having our Spring Congregational meeting, we still wanted to keep you abreast of the state of our church. Thanks to Dean Coffey, Vice-moderator of the board, for compiling these reports.

I hope you are enjoying the current sermon series, Building. Last week, we talked about Building Across Our Story, and I shared with you the part of our (MCC's) history about the Upstairs Lounge fire in New Orleans in 1973. It is a hard part of our history to revisit, as it was so horrid. At the same time, it is important for us not to forget these stories; it is important for us to build in them! This Sunday, I'll speak about Building Toward Harmony. If you'd like to read ahead, check out I Peter 3:8-9 (New English Translation).

As always, I look forward to "seeing" you in worship online this Sunday! God bless.

Pastor Keith

A version of the Lord's Prayer

Divine Love, Source of All Good, Omnipresent One, sacred are your many names.
Your Commonwealth is unfolding. Your desire for the healing and reconciliation of all things is being fulfilled.
Heaven is found in the great connection of all our hearts and at the heart of creation. You are working through us to provide for every human’s need and for the healing of the Earth.
Thank You for Your abundant grace, which forgives all errors as we turn from them to Love. May we reflect You in our forgiveness of others.
You never cease to journey with us through even the most difficult times. You are our Strong Deliverer from oppression.
For Yours is the Beloved Community, the Christ Power, and our unending faithfulness, within and beyond time. And so it is! Amen.
