Turn Your Lights Off for an Hour on Earth Day
Inspired by Earth Hour, the global event organized by World Wide Fund for Nature that encourages you to turn off your lights for one hour on a certain day each year, we're having our own #BungalowBlackout!

On Earth Day, Monday, April 22, turn off the non-essential lights in your bungalow or vintage home from 8pm to 9pm.

Take a picture of your candlelit evening or your dark streetscape and post it to social media with the hashtag #BungalowBlackout. By posting with the hashtag, you'll be automatically entered into a giveaway of a $100 Walgreens gift card!
Let's come together to save a whole lot of kilowatts and remember that small energy conservation efforts like this can make a big impact on the environment!
How-To Home Series
We've heard your requests for video versions of our seminars, and we are very excited to present our  How-To Home  film series: practical and trusted advice for vintage home owners, at your doorstep!

The first three episodes walk you through an energy assessment and attic insulation of both a finished and unfinished attic:
These episodes are especially helpful if you have applied for or are interested in applying for the  Energy Savers  program!

Stay tuned! More How-To Home videos are coming soon. (The next topic we'll cover is: masonry!)
What's So Special About Your Neighborhood, Anyway?
We're working on a new project about Bungalow Belt neighborhoods developed with YOUR input!

We want to highlight local histories and hear about the people and places that make your neighborhood so unique, but we can't do it without the people who know them best.

What neighborhood businesses and operations do you love? What are the "legacy" businesses that have been around for decades in your neighborhood? What neighborhood groups are you a part of?

Take a few minutes to let us know in the questionnaire.
You know your neighborhood is the best, so tell us what makes it worth exploring!
