Bereaved Caregivers Retreat

If you are grieving the death of a loved one who died within the last 3 years and for whom you were the family/friend primary caregiver, please join us. Our Bereaved Caregivers Retreat is a special, overnight weekend retreat to renew, refresh, and rebuild.

Participants will:

Connect with others to share experiences and grief
Practice self-care and relaxation
Commemorate their loved one with gratitude
Refocus their life now that the caregiving role has ended

The retreat program and lodging are offered free of charge.

The only fee is $100 to help cover the cost of meals.

Parenting While Grieving Online Workshop Series

Registration Open

7-Week Series Starts October 4, 2023, 7:00pm - 8:30pm

During these interactive meetings, participants will explore:

the impact of the loss on children
developmental reactions to the grief process
strategies for dealing with the challenges of parenting while grieving

The 7-week series will be facilitated on Zoom by CaringMatters' trained staff on Wednesday evenings, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm, with the first session scheduled for October 4, 2023. The series is offered free of charge, and space is limited to the first 10 registrants. Participants must reside in Montgomery County, MD.

Through interactive presentations, discussions and guided exercises, the CaringMatters team presents a broad range of information and skill-building instruction to prepare new volunteers to be one-on-one caregivers and bereavement facilitators.
