BACC President's Message:
Celebrating Compassion and Caring in Our Communities

Last Thursday our Women's Biz Net (WBN) audience heard from three diverse nonprofits that serve women, children and the needy. The zoom program celebrated the compassion and caring we have in our communities.

The Caring Women's Connection is a nonprofit dedicated to raising money for charities that serve women and children in Lake County. In the past year they have distributed over $45,000 in grants to such causes as At Risk Teen Girls, Homeless Women, Infant Burial Garment Program, School Shoes and Winter Boots, Domestic Violence and more. Learn more at www.caringwomensconnection.com.

Rahab's Daughters focuses on educating communities, families, schools, health care workers and others to recognize the red flags of sex trafficking. They provide safe houses, prevention and empowerment programs and each year make a difference in thousands of lives. They are working to establish Barrington as a "Traffic Free" community. Learn more at www.rahabsdaughters.com.

Wings is dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence. They provide housing, integrated services, education and more. They believe that everyone has the potential and strength to overcome difficult life circumstances and to accomplish goals that will lead to an enhanced quality of life. When we look at the quality of life in our communities, it is enhanced by the compassion and caring we show to others. WBN programming is a network of women empowering women.
