WHAT'S HAPPENING at Spring Hill UCC

Check out all of our exciting news!
Building abundant lives by sharing the LOVE of Jesus.
Sunday Worship Service
10:00 a.m.
As most of you know, one of our long-time beloved members, Louise Voscinar , passed away recently. Her family wanted you to know that this church was a deciding factor in Louise’s decision to move to Spring Hill back in the 1980’s. Her and her husband had planned to move to Florida when they retired. Her husband passed away suddenly before they moved and Louise came on her own. Louise felt that Spring Hill UCC turned out to be a great new home for her. There will be no Memorial service, but if you would like to give a donation to the church in her memory, that would be appreciated. Spring Hill UCC was one of her favorite charities.
To the Congregation of the United Church of Christ, We cannot begin to express how deeply moved we are at your out pouring of love and support for our Mother and Grandmother, Mary Lou Pulliam . Listening to the stories and memories of many of her friends during the Memorial Service was heart-warming as we were able to see and hear just how loved she was in this Church community. The Memorial was everything she would have wanted it to be, thanks to many of you for your gracious help. We are so appreciative of everyone who came together to make this very difficult time for our family as easy as possible through your assistance in everything from planning to setting up and through your kind words. You were able to ease our hurt just a little in showing us what amazing, self-less, and loving people she was around and for that we are truly grateful. Thank you for loving her and being a part of her family. We will miss her terribly and as we continue to move forward in this journey of grief, we will not forget her Church family and all you did for her and for us. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you. The family of MaryLou Pulliam

At our meeting on Monday, Dwight Kerr from HPH Hospice spoke to us about the various services that hospice offers. After learning about their yearly 3 day bereavement camp in Brooksville, we voted to donate $200 to Camp Reach Out which is for children in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus counties, ages 5-17, who experienced the death of a loved one. Since the camp is already over for this year, the funds will be used to support ongoing bereavement activities for children that HPH Hospice sponsors. We also voted to donate $300 from various sources to the Superintendent's 4th Annual Summer Reading Initiative to encourage children to read over the summer months. Letters explaining these programs will be on the Missions bulletin board outside the office door.

LUAU & SILENT AUCTION
Saturday, March 30, 2019
4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The Luau and Auction is looking great, and it is only a few weeks away. If you haven't bought tickets, please buy them! We are planning the food and we need to know how many guests we are having. We continue to add wonderful items for your bidding pleasure: Including a full box of great cigars and an afternoon Peruvian dinner in April!

So, a quick "how to bid." On a single item, put your name and bid number on line one. The next person who would like to bid on this (And take it away from you) will bid on line two and write in a higher amount. You will look in on it a little later, and because YOU want to be the winner, you will fill in the next line with a higher amount. And so it will go until 6:45 when the bid sheet will be pulled and the person with the highest bid will be announced.

For dinners and anything with multiples of the same thing: The bid most go up after the first 3, 6, or 8 people are listed trying for the item at the original starting bid. After that, ever bid must increase. Top bidders of that number of places will be awarded the win. All bids must be in whole dollar amounts. Each individual must be on a separate line.

Pay for your items with cash or check that night, or on Sunday. Richard is in charge of money for this event. Come for food, drink, dance and Auction fun!
ALOHA!
