22 Weeks to Go!
Believe it or not, 22 weeks from Friday (December 6) is the first day of our Annual Two-Day Christmas Bazaar and Cookie Walk! This is one of our most successful and labor intensive fundraisers and we need many volunteers to help with this event so that it can continue to be the success that it has been in the past.

At the beginning of this budget year the Hospitality Team took a step back from overseeing the fundraising events for the church. This decision was not made lightly but many on the team have been doing the work for years and quite frankly are tired. But, more importantly they opted to become self-sufficient with regard to funding our Sunday Fellowship t ime. Instead of budgeting $5,000 to support both fundraising efforts and Fellowship time the program has been successfully supported by our members signing up to host each week and using the donations that are given each Sunday. However, this decision also means that we need members of the church to step up and volunteer to chair some of our ongoing fundraisers and also maybe suggest some others. John Evola did a wonderful job in organizing and coordinating our Spring Rummage Sale and plans to do so again for the Fall Rummage Sale in October. Lynda Spaulding and Patti DiGregorio have volunteered to co-chair the Christmas Bazaar. Lynda has a great deal of experience with the crafts and basket raffle and Patti has been the impetus behind the collection of gift cards that began our gift card tree. Both of those along with our famous Cookie Walk are what makes our bazaar different from others in the area and we want to be able to continue that tradition in 2019.

So even though we have 22 weeks, we need to start the work now. We need people to help with the kitchen, make crafts and holiday decorations, donate and help make the gift baskets, set-up, clean-up, bake for both the cookie walk and the food table and to work one or both of those days.

We are hoping to put together a meeting for anyone interested in being part of this project within the next few weeks. We plan to schedule it so that it will be convenient for the majority of those interested in participating so that would include early evening or after church on Sunday. Please contact Patti ( patriciadigregorio@aol.com , 631-495-4823) or Lynda ( lynda34606@gmail.com , 293-4736) to let us know when you are available to meet. Even if you can’t make it to a meeting and have ideas or can contribute in some way, please contact one or both of us.
Due to the damage to the sanctuary ceiling, it has been decided to worship in Fellowship Hall until further notice. This is for safety and health reasons. The church offices will also be in Fellowship Hall until the ceiling is fixed and the air quality is good.
Due to ongoing issues with her e-mail, Pastor Robin has gone to a g-mail account. She no longer
