Design and Maintenance of MERV 13 Filter Systems for Optimum Performance The recent pandemic has elevated the importance of filtration, specifically MERV 13, as a key driver in providing a safe, healthy, and productive built nvironment. This presentation will discuss why MERV 13 is the performance criteria of choice emphasizing two important, but equal elements; the filter itself and the hardware it sits in. We will look at options to maximize the efficacy of your filter system focusing on filter system performance, not just the filter’s rated performance. Highlighting NAFA Guidelines

Filtration for Commercial Office Spaces

This best practice establishes air filtration guidelines for the removal of particulate, bioaerosols, and gaseous contaminants for the protection of the air handling equipment and components, as well as providing comfort and a healthy environment for all who work, visit, live and play in these facilities. The recommendations in this guideline are considered by NAFA to be “best practice” in contrast to “minimum standards” as put forth by other organizations. It will serve to provide owners and facility managers with the necessary information to develop effective filtration strategies for their facility’s Indoor Air Quality

(IAQ) and Life Safety Programs.
