RESOURCE HIGHLIGHTS

The Conscious Kid

Do your youth have questions about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

Picture books can be a great place to start a conversation on the topic.

Check out these two lists of books from The Conscious Kid for some suggestions:

Children’s Books to Counter Anti-Palestinian Racism & Dehumanization

Children’s Books for Countering Antisemitism & Affirming Jewish Identity

CURRICULUM

Choosing a new curriculum? Read this First!

This article from Building Faith provides some guidance on how to select the right curriculum for your context. Take a step back and ask questions like “How would people in your community who do not go to your church describe it?” and "What draws people to the church and keeps them coming?” Spend some time reviewing your church’s mission statement. Then, take a good look at lists of curricula to find the one that fits best!

Here is a curriculum overview of popular resources from SNEUCC to get you started.
