On Thursday, December 6, the Claflin University family hopes to raise at least $20,000 in conjunction with the Tom Joyner Foundation's Day of Giving to support student scholarships.
As many have heard, Claflin University has been selected to participate in the 2019 Tom Joyner Foundation School of the Month Campaign. Since Claflin's month is January, loyal Claflin friends and alumni are using this special Day of Giving Campaign to make sure they kick-off the 2019 effort in the grandest way possible.
And they're counting on the generosity of donors just like you to make it happen!
Donors like you, know how important this moment is in the history of our 150-year-old institution. They also know, better than most, that every moment used well means another life lifted and another community transformed. Beyond that, they know that it was an all-hands-on-deck mindset that gave Claflin University bragging rights as the #1 Alumni-Giving HBCU in the nation.
In this last respect, 2019 will be no different than the 150 years that came before.
EVERY INDIVIDUAL WITH A HEART TO GIVE IS NEEDED TO SUPPORT CLAFLIN UNIVERSITY!
All funds raised will support student scholarships at Claflin University. Giving is scheduled to begin at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday and continue until midnight. Alumni are reminded that any gift made on to this campaign will be counted toward their Annual Fund gift and will be credited to their respective alumni chapter.
