Fort Lauderdale Advocacy in Tallahassee

I had a great time in Tallahassee earlier this week, fighting the Live Local Act and urging state legislatures to support key infrastructure and public safety priorities in the City of Fort Lauderdale. A lot of what affects our city is decided above the city level, so it is imperative for Fort Lauderdale to show up so we can tell our story. Thank you to entire City team that made the trip to Tallahassee and to my wife, Anna, for being part of the team!

Have you Heard of the Rotary Connection?

The Rotary Connection is a new service that helps individuals experiencing homelessness access healthcare, reunification, and other services throughout parts of Fort Lauderdale. I am grateful for Gwynne, Garry, and the entire Rotary Connection team for what they do every day to serve our community. Learn more about the Rotary Connection here. Recap of Huizenga Park's First Day Back!

We live in a city that becomes more iconic by the year, and there are several new experiences waiting for you in Fort Lauderdale. Just last week, the new and improved Huizenga Park reopened. It has been transformed into a premier greenspace for community gatherings, group exercise, and leisure. Later this year, the brand-new waterfront restaurant, Sweetwaters, will open in Huizenga for all of us to enjoy. Thank you to the DDA, city staff, and everyone working together to make this possible! I am so grateful to everyone who came out to support the grand opening; you can really tell that this park will help bring people together.
