On October 24, 2022, the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA), in partnership with the Southern California Regional Rail Authority, expanded the public transit network in the San Bernardino Valley. This addition to the network is primarily using the state-of-the-art Arrow diesel multiple units (DMUs).   

The end of the 2022-2023 fiscal year brings the election of new SBCTA Board leadership. On June 7, 2023, the SBCTA Board of Directors elected San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors Chair Dawn Rowe to serve as Board President for the 2023-2024 year and Chino Hills Councilman Ray Marquez to serve as Vice President.

The San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) requires each transit agency to prepare a short range transit plan (SRTP), which is typically a five-year operating and capital plan. Operators update their SRTP based on current funding projections, from SBCTA, as well as performance trends analyzed through the SRTP process.

The development of the Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Budget is now complete. The proposed budget document was distributed to members of the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) Board of Directors (Board) prior to the Budget Workshop held during the Board meeting on May 3, 2023. SBCTA’s budget process is structured to provide the maximum level of input from all SBCTA policy committees. SBCTA staff provided a budget overview for each program.
