Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce
CROSSING PATHS
Words of (not quite) Wisdom
from the Executive Director

Hello Cross Plains!

It is hard to believe that April is almost over. The past couple of months have seemed to drag on and speed by at the same time. Life during the pandemic has certainly brought a different feel to each day; with the day and night sometimes blending together. However, I can say that although living in a "quarantine" life of blended days, I have been very productive at work.

Covid-19 means different things to different people; essential workers, working from home, or not working at all. I am focusing my efforts to make the Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce meaningful to each of you. I know that a "one size fit all" chamber isn't going to benefit anyone right now (or ever), so reinventing our programs and how we show our support has been a priority. The good thing is that the membership program that I was going to launch at our March 19th Annual Meeting already removed the "one size fits all" membership outline. Yay!

However, some of the membership opportunities that had originally implemented for the launch a new 2020 membership are no longer relevant (ex: events & social gatherings). Since the first Safer At Home order was issued by the Governor, I have been working on new, dare I say, outside of the box, ways to be the best Chamber we can be, not only during a pandemic, but in good times and challenging times as well. I look forward to sharing our new membership application and engagement opportunities to you next week.

Until then, please continue to read on through to the end of this newsletter, check out our social media platforms and visit our website! The Chamber is in this with you Cross Plains; together! Thank you for your continued support!

Be Safe & Healthy!

Kind Regards,

Terra Morris
Executive Director
