Open Studio: Stitched!

Discover the possibilities of mixed media art combining the softness of watercolor with the tactile richness of hand embroidery.
Participants will explore watercolor techniques on paper combined with delicate embellishments of simple embroidery stitching to create a distinctive work of art with depth and texture.
No prior experience needed. This free art experience is perfect for all ages and skill levels.

Grantee Spotlight
The Carlsbad-Oceanside Art League (COAL) has been offering enrichment opportunities and gallery space for local artists since 1951."
COAL presents “Demo & Expression", a free monthly program funded by the City of Carlsbad Community Arts Grant. This program is held on the first Thursday of each month from 1:45 to 3:15 p.m. at the Pine Avenue Community Center, featuring live artist demonstrations, hands-on instruction and opportunities to explore new techniques.
