Did you know that Thursday evenings at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center are designed to create connections between artists, activists, and art enthusiasts?
Thursday evening, June 16th, from 6:00 - 8:00pm, VAST member Ellen Frenkel will talk with GDAC Executive Director Georgina Ngozi about fiber art, issues of race and other struggles, and the process of making art in difficult times. There will be a variety of pieces to see up close including a new work in process commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the displacement of the people of Quakertown. There will be lots of time for asking questions!
Frenkel’s work has been featured in Visual Arts Society of Texas exhibitions at the Greater Denton Arts Council, Fiber Artists of San Antonio’s members website, Denton Community Market, and Bath House Cultural Center (Dallas, Texas).
