Dive Shop II

The Dive Shop II is truly committed to using diving to unite and benefit to the community and the public. Here are some of the ways The Dive Shop II staff partners with local and national organizations to introduce and to use scuba diving as a catalyst to effect change and unity.
  1. The Fearless Rock Underwater Memorial - The Dive Shop II has been instrumental in creating and maintain the first underwater scuba diving memorial that honors fallen Military Heroes. The Memorial was created with the help of the Dive Shop II in 2013 and has attracted scuba divers from all over the world.
  2. Partnerships with Organizations - To bring healing and introduce those with disabilities to the world scuba diving. The Dive Shop has hosted the Hero Dive Day for the last five years. During this event, the Dive Shop II Staff have assisted military and first responders wounded in the line of duty to find, peace, a sense of community while exploring scuba diving.
  3. The Brick Smith Dive Scholarship - The Dive Shop II helped created a diving scholarship to honor the memory of Arkansas Scuba Diver Brick Smith. Brick was also a diabetic who never let a diagnosis stand in his way. He worked every day of his life to show others that diabetes did not and could not define him. On February 19th, 2017 Brick Smith passed away while skydiving. The Dive Shop II help start a Diving Scholarship to honor his legacy and his spirit of serving others. The Scholarship is open to all participants of the Garland County Juvenile Drug Court, and one young person is chosen each year. The scholarship awardee receives valuable life lessons and earns their Open Water Certification and their own set of scuba gear, while learning what it means to be a member of their community and learning to make a difference in their own life as well.
