Esperanza Spalding:
More Than Pleasant

Esperanza seems to be everywhere these days, NPR just being one of them. Check her out if you haven't already...and Esperanza, give me a call, I want to make you a bass!
Thelonious Monk's
Friday the 13th

Happy Triscadecaphobia Day!

Happy Friday the 13th everyone! Ironically this is also the 13th issue of The Upton Report. Spooky!

I've been getting some great feedback from you all in eMails, which I highly appreciate, but I've been thinking it would be great to get some back and forth dialogue going on the these posts, so I wanted to remind you that if you go to our blog, http://blog.uptonbass.com you can view the archived version of The Upton Report and you can post feedback in the blog. Signing up for the blog is easy, and it wont generate any more "junk" mail cause you're already getting this! ;)

So...without further ado, I bring you some Friday night double bass entertainment!

And remember...if you have ANY links, news, videos, etc. you want to share, eMail it to me at eroy@uptonbass.com and I'll be sure to share it. Oh...and if you just want to say "Hi" you can do that too!
Have a nice weekend!

Hey Eric,
I hope you and the entire Upton Bass crew are doing great. Here's a possible video for the newsletter. Could this guy's bass be a new Upton Bass design for (the next) ISB? Haha!
Be well!
