BODY OF SLAIN VICTIM FOUND AFTER 18 YEARS

Alameda County District Attorney Nancy E. O’Malley announces that the body of missing homicide victim Cynthia “Linda” Alonzo, who was killed nearly 18 years ago, has been found in Oakland.
“After nearly 18 years of waiting, the family of Linda Alonzo may finally find some peace in knowing that their loved one can ultimately be laid to rest,” said District Attorney O’Malley. “We cannot begin to imagine the pain and unrest that her family must have felt through all this time not knowing where Linda was. Our thoughts are with them.”

Senior class students from the Oakland Military Institute College Preparatory Academy visited the historic Rene C. Davidson Courthouse in Oakland during a field trip.
They got to meet DA O’Malley, who chatted with the students about how the prosecution works, the history of the office, and various programs the office offers including Camp Hope, the Justice Academy, and others. The students had a chance to ask DA O’Malley questions, such as why she wanted to become a DA. Thank you students for the nice visit!
