“Divorce Month” is here, and we have it in gear.

January is typically considered “divorce month” when family law attorneys around the globe tend to see surges of new divorce inquiries following the holidays. 2022 has been no exception at HK. Our team has been not only marching forward through the increased call volume and active client cases during this pandemic, but they are also accomplishing some significant achievements. Here’s the month in review.

Please join us in welcoming Samantha Masters, Law Clerk. Samantha is a second-year law student at Santa Clara University School of Law, with an aspiration to practice family law. She already has an impressive resume, holding previous Judicial Intern Positions with both the San Francisco Superior Court and the Unified Family Court. Samantha is currently an Associate at Santa Clara Journal of International Law, and she brings solid Law Clerk experience to HK. Samantha will be assisting our legal support team and attorneys and is a welcome addition to our lineup of wonderful human beings.

On January 12th, 2022, we had the honor of virtually witnessing Raechele Jang’s swearing in ceremony which took place at the Superior Court of California, Santa Clara County Family Justice Center. Raechele joined HK as a Law Clerk in February 2021. She successfully passed the California state bar examination in November 2021 and has officially been promoted to Associate Attorney.

This month we learned that James J. Hoover, Partner and CFLS, achieved the 2022 Avvo Clients’ Choice Award for Divorce. This marks the ninth time Jim has been accoladed with this honor which is based on continuous five-star client reviews. This designation is especially meaningful because it represents the voices of the clients we represent and consult with. We are grateful to our clients who took the time to articulate their experience in working with Jim and our outstanding team (who are frequently cited in client reviews) at Hoover Krepelka, LLP.

Congratulations to Andrea J. Justo, Associate Attorney, who has been elected Treasurer of the Santa Clara County Bar Association.  Our team looks forward to witnessing Andrea’s installation ceremony via Zoom on January 26th.  We admire Andrea’s extraordinary work ethic, attention to detail and proactivity, and we are confident she will keep balances in line and make a positive impact as Treasurer of the SCCBA.

We took the Betty White Challenge!

In honor of the late Betty White, legendary actress and pet advocate, Hoover Krepelka, LLP is supporting Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV). Established in 1929, HSSV offers quality adoptions, affordable spaying/neutering, vaccinations and microchipping services, pet care services and education programs to enhance the human-animal bond.
