Teaching Customer Service Excellence and Etiquette Savvy

Greetings!

Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks, my hometown team, for winning Super Bowl 60! Clearly, good teamwork, preparation and (pretty) good manners still matter.

February is a busy month. Groundhog Day came first, and unfortunately Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, predicting six more weeks of winter—clearly someone forgot to teach him the etiquette of delivering good news. This month also brings Valentine’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Mardi Gras, Lunar New Year, Black History Month and National Chocolate Month. I’ve included Etiquette Quick Tips below to help you navigate several of these celebrations with confidence and grace.

Parents, give your children the gift of manners and social confidence that will serve them for a lifetime. We have several upcoming classes for children and teens in Woodinville and at our new location in Mt. Vernon. Many of our classes fill quickly, so reserve your child’s spot soon—before the chocolate is gone and the good manners are too.

Best regards,

Valentine’s Day ❤️

President’s Day 🇺🇸

Lunar New Year 🧧

  • If giving a gift, avoid white or black wrapping paper (associated with mourning in many Asian cultures).
  • Red and gold symbolize luck and prosperity—excellent etiquette and wonderful aesthetics.

Black History Month ✨

  • Support Black-owned businesses—not just this month, but year-round.
  • Curiosity paired with humility is excellent etiquette.
