Congratulations to the Duluth Swim and Dive team for their success at the
State Championships!
The Wildcats qualified 31 swimmers, divers, and relay alternates for the meet. The team qualified 6 people for the finals, led by Ashley Neas. Ashley finished 4th in the 500 Free and 10th in the 200 Free, while the Girls 200 Free Relay also made finals. The boys were led Jimmy Fung, who made finals in the 100 Butterfly.
The team scored in the state championships for the 22nd straight year.

NJROTC had a very eventful week. Last Friday, the unit performed exceptionally at the biennial Area Manager Inspection (AMI). The Inspecting Officer, CDR Rustie Hibbard, had nothing but positive comments concerning the Company's performance at the personnel inspection, drill demonstration, and Pass-in-Review in the gymnasium followed by the Cadet Staff Brief. Special thanks to Mr. Nathan Groves and the band ensemble who provided outstanding music for the ceremony, Dr. Steven Fairchild and the PE Department, and Mr. Ford for the sound system. Thank you DHS Faculty for your understanding of the necessity for cadets to miss classes for rehearsals and AMI. It was definitely a DHS team effort!!!

On Wednesday, 2/8, fifty-nine (59) NJROTC cadets and two Key Club members participated in the fourth successive Junior Achievement-JROTC Day at Chattahoochee ES! Participants taught the JA Citizenship curriculum to a designated Grade 2 through 5 class. It was an outstanding effort that was a big hit with the Chattahoochee students and faculty. Well done to all participants!!
