The Birmingham area is the best destination to find a healthcare job in the United States,
according to a survey.
ABODO, the apartment search site, looked at data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics from 2012 through 2016, narrowing down metropolitan statistical areas (MSA) that offer the best chances to find jobs in certain areas.
According to the study, Birmingham-Hoover has the highest concentration of health care and technical jobs in any the top 50 metro areas in the country, with a location quotient of 1.4. That number compares the ratio of national job density to the local ratio for that occupation.
Alabama cyber security programs ramp up amid rising threats

Universities are boosting their research efforts in the field of cyber security, along with programs that produce highly skilled graduates.
Governor Kay Ivey also recently announced the formation of a new high school focusing on cyber technology and engineering, which will be based in Huntsville. The school will prepare Alabama's top students for jobs in these in-demand fields.
The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is Alabama's best attraction, according to readers of
USA Today.
The museum that anchors the 880-acre Barber Motorsports Park features one of the largest collections of motorcycles in the world and the largest collection of vintage Lotus racecars.
The newspaper released its "Best Alabama Attraction" list earlier this month. The list took nominations from Alabama-based travel writers and photographers and allowed the public to vote for a month.
