Adah International, Inc. Launches MSSC Logistics and Manufacturing Training Certifications
Birmingham, AL (October 2nd, 2017) - Almost six years ago, employees of Adah International, while working for a global logistics company, created the first high school logistics training program in the State of Alabama. Just last year, Adah International also launched an advanced machine apprenticeship program between a major, German automotive parts manufacturer and a historically black community college in Birmingham.
Both programs are now widely viewed as steps forward in developing pipelines of young, engaged talent for advanced manufacturing and logistics companies, as well as higher wages, more benefits and quick-advancing careers for employees.
Today, Adah International builds on that legacy by announcing its launch of the
Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) logistics and manufacturing certifications. MSSC is the industry-led, training, assessment and certification system focused on the core skills and knowledge needed by the nation's front-line production and logistics technicians.
The ability to quickly and economically educate technicians is important to logistics and manufacturing companies, who need to produce and move quality parts for customers on a regular basis. Quickly becoming industry standard, MSSC curricula offers a fast-track to certifications through its mix of lecture, online study and hands-on training.
Adah International leverages its experience as a private, industrial project management company, primarily working for some of today's most advanced international industrial companies, to add additional quality and value to the training management.
Based on studies conducted on over 400 MSSC CPT completers from 2012 - 2014, findings indicate a significant positive impact on job placement rates, employee retention, and earnings potential, according to MSSC. MSSC completers earned 14% higher than their noncertified counterparts.
"We are proud to take yet another innovative step forward with the third addition to the Adah International talent-development portfolio," said Kirk Atkinson, president, Adah International, Inc. "More importantly, this is about offering the best training and education to people so they can have access to these great careers, while also keeping costs down and quality up for employers."
The Adah-MSSC system offers highly experienced instructors for all 3 certifications: Certified Logistics Technician (CLT), Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Production Technician (CPT). Adah's instructor for the logistics programs, Nadja Dalberg is a logistics manager with over 10 years' experience in global logistics management. Adah's instructor for the production program is an industrial engineer also with 10-plus years' experience in manufacturing and construction.
Adah International plans to offer the certifications at a cost range of $500 to $1,500 per person, depending on level and volume.
