Hello Autumn Text. Hello Fall sign on pumpkin_ autumn vegetables with colorful leaves_acorns_nuts_ berries on wooden rustic table. Fall seasons greeting card. Atmospheric image

So glad to report that I endured anotherTexas summer! It was sooo HOT!!! I am thankful that Fall has arrived and I look forward to cooler days. I wish everyone a Happy and safe Halloween and a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family, friends and yummy food. I did attend the TravelAbility Conference in Savannah, GA. It was great to connect with past travel colleagues and meet new people. I had some excellent Southern food including fried chicken at Paula Dean's original restaurant. No accessible taxis in Savannah but nice drivers who would put my folding power chair in their cabs. No way to get around in a large power chair or if you don't have the ability to transfer. Why are we still dealing with this problem in 2023?

Our GREECE ADVENTURE was AMAZING!!!

Royal Caribbean's ICON of THE Seas is coming in 2024!

Royal Caribbean changed the face of cruising when it introduced OASIS Class ships and they are about to do again with the ICON Class. If you have the time, check out a YouTube video of this absolutely amazing cruise ship. I can't even imagine some of the features this ship will have. Icon of The Seas is being touted as the ultimate family cruise experience. Interested in being one of the first to sail on her? Call now to reserve your cabin. RCCL is enjoying record breaking sales for the inaugural season in 2024.

Do you know about American Airline's Mobility Identification Number?

I recently made my flight reservations to Greece on American Airlines. Afterwards, I called the Special Needs Desk at AA to discuss seats and let them know what type of mobility device I would be traveling with. They recently implemented a new system where they assign you a Mobility Identification Number of MOBI #. They take down all the pertinent information on your equipment including make and model number, dimensions, weight, battery type, voltage, amps, etc. Once your equipment is approved, you receive an email with the MOBI #. I printed this and will take it to the airport with me. The purpose of this is to prevent you from having problems at the airport. Both you and the gate agents and crew will know that everything has been approved and is ready to fly. They explain to you exactly what you need to do in terms of removing batteries and preparing them for flight. I think this is a great step forward in reducing stress from disabled travelers.

Please check with your airline of choice to see if they are using a similar program.
