WE DID IT!!! We made it through 2020!
All I want for Christmas is my turn for the Covid Vaccine. I want this for all of you as well so we can be with family and each other. So we can board a plane and a cruise ship, so we can go out without being fearful, so we can resume a more "normal" way of life. I'm basically a very optimistic person and truly believe that 2021 will bring all of this to fruition. I miss seeing all of you on trips and at Abilities Expos around the country. In the meantime, I wish everyone a very Happy, Healthy and Safe Holiday Season whatever traditions you celebrate. We now have a very strong common bond because the entire world has been involved in the pandemic of 2020 and we have all been affected by this in one way or another. Perhaps this will bring us all a little closer and we will treat one another with more compassion and kindness as we move into 2021 and beyond.

Cruise Line Updates...
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently issued a Framework for Conditional Sailing Order that introduces a phased approach for a safe return of cruising. In the order, the CDC outlines that cruise lines are no longer able to sail itineraries that are longer than 7 nights and call on a U.S. port. This affects sailings between Jan. 1 and Nov. 1, 2021. To ensure compliance, cruise lines have temporarily paused the sale of such cruises as they evaluate options and determine the necessary itinerary updates or changes. We expect to have more information in coming weeks and will be in touch with you once we have updates to share. Thank you for your continued patience and loyalty during this extraordinary time.
Most cruise lines have now extended their pause in sailing through March 31, 2021 in light of the recent surge in Covid-19 cases. They are still moving forward with all the changes that need to be made to insure we are all safe when we do return to cruising, I will bring you the latest news each month so you can be informed.
Royal Caribbean issued this announcement last week:
As 2020 winds down, we reflect on all that has transpired during this unprecedented year.
As I’m sure you’ll agree, we never imagined the pause in cruising to last as long as it has. At the onset of the pandemic, rebooking deadlines and opt-in dates provided ample time for future vacation planning and cruise credit redemption — however, as time has progressed, the window of opportunity has narrowed. With that, we thank you for sharing your sentiments, prompting our decision to make a change to open Future Cruise Credits (FCCs). I’m happy to announce that we’ve focused on simplifying things for you and your clients with only one date to remember — Book and Sail by April 30th, 2022! This includes all unredeemed FCCs generated as a result of a suspended sailing, the Cruise with Confidence program, and non-refundable deposit credits issued after March 16, 2020. All qualifying FCCs will be updated automatically,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I think I can safely say we are all looking forward to 2021. Congratulations on getting through a very challenging year in our history. Hats off to all the frontline workers, healthcare workers and parents who became their kids' teachers. You have all done an amazing job! Let's continue to practice safe habits, wear a mask and get a vaccine when it's your turn. I look forward to seeing all of you in 2021!

MY READING LIST
Everyone seems to be enjoying my "Pandemic Reading List" and the books I've read since March. I'm enjoying your comments and book suggestions! Books below in red are my newest reads. I truly love escaping into the pages and lives of the characters.
Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner
Cooking For Picasso by Camille Aubrey
Educated by Tara Westover
Summer of 69 by Elin Hilderbrand
Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner
A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles
Florence Adler Swims Forever by Rachel Beanland
American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins
An Unorthodox Match by Naomi Ragen
Beneath A Scarlett Sky by Mark Sullivan
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
Eli's Promise by Ronald Balson
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate ( One of my favorites!)
Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
The Last Tackle by James Wallgren (read review above)
The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
Some of these are easy reading (Chick Lit) but some are fairly intense. Enjoyed every one of these books. Reading is a great escape to another time and place which I think we can all use a little of right now.
My next book is Bel Canto by Ann Patchett.

We're MOVING!!!
Just moving down the road about 9 miles from our current home to a Del Webb Community called Frisco Lakes in Frisco, TX. This is what happens when you're living through a pandemic and getting bored. Steve and I decided to take a ride last August on a very hot day and ended up putting our name and check into a lottery for the lot we wanted. They are closing out the community and I wanted a location that already had grown trees and was scooter distance from the Clubhouse with indoor and outdoor pools. Turns out we got the lot and will be building an accessible home that, hopefully, will be ready in July. As much as I love my current home, it has some accessibility issues that are not safe. The new house will be better suited for my situation. We hope to break ground by February. I'll keep you posted on our progress.

We Do Individual & Group Travel
|
|
Do you know that we actually plan more trips for individuals than we do for our groups? We love when you participate in our groups but please remember to call us when you want to plan a vacation for the two of you or with a group of friends or family members. We can most likely plan any type of vacation you want and we will be sure to address all your accessibility requirements and needs. We so enjoy doing the research for you and look forward to planning that next trip just for you! Also, if you see one of our groups that you would like to do but perhaps the dates don't work, give us a call. We can usually duplicate the same trip just for you and your travel companions.
