What's the Silver Lining?
Since I'm a "the glass is half full" kind of person, I have managed to find the "Silver Lining" during the pandemic. Swimming is definitely a part of this but reading lots of books since March has been another big aspect of my silver lining. I started a Book Club via Zoom in my neighborhood and we read one book each month but I'm filling in the time with other choices. My taste in books is rather eclectic much like my taste in music. I thought I would share the titles of books I have read during the past six months. Feel free to call me to discuss any of these books.
Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner
Cooking For Picasso by Camille Aubrey
Educated by Tara Westover
Summer of 69 by Elin Hilderbrand
Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner
A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles
Florence Adler Swims Forever by Rachel Beanland
American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins
An Unorthodox Match by Naomi Ragen
Beneath A Scarlett Sky by Mark Sullivan
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah (currently reading)
Some of these are easy reading (Chick Lit) but some are fairly intense. Enjoyed every one of these books. Reading is a great escape to another time and place which I think we can all use a little of right now.
