Thank you for your support

Thank you to all who have supported our Annual Appeal. To date, we have raised $39,332, and we are deeply grateful for your generosity and belief in our mission to empower women and girls across Delaware. Your contributions strengthen our organization, help offset essential operating expenses, and allow us to increase the funds available for grantmaking. There is still time to give, and every additional gift—no matter the size—helps extend our impact. Thank you for being part of this community of change.

Share Your Feedback or
Contribute Your Expertise

The Sussex County Development Committee is planning a second Women's Forum to be held at Baywood Greens on April 30th. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback at our inaugural Forum last September. If you have feedback about the Forum, or if you have expertise in one of our focused areas below and would consider leading a session, please let us know by emailing Committee Member Cheryl Mitchell at cherylmitchell13@gmail.com.

  • Physical and mental health as it applies to mature women: Suggested topics include heart health, stroke prevention, fear of falling, coping with loss, caregiving for a partner, coping with loneliness, and finding meaningful ways to use your time.

  • Financial Wellness: Estate planning and the importance of wills and end of life documents.

  • Too Much Stuff! Women are interested in how to streamline their life and pare down their many possessions.

  • Technology: Many women feel like technology changes so quickly that they are being left behind. We want to offer tips and resources to help mature women navigate this growing issue.

  • Safety: Topics will include how to protect yourself from financial and other types of scams and how to recognize physical threats in your surroundings.

  • Education and community involvement: We are eager for broad topics on how to make retirement meaningful.
