How many of you have this? It's especially true for me as summer hits and there are so many awesome things happening!
The simplicity of barefoot and carefree childhood days playing outside are gone.... or, are they!? With a plethora of activities, how do we NOT miss out on something?
Well, the truth is that we are and always will be. There will always be something else vying for our time and our attention.
But we have a choice.
If we can appreciate and find contentment where we are...
if we can trust that we have chosen the right thing for us in the moment...
if we can let go of the need to do EVERYTHING...
we have a fighting chance to live more fully without the fear that something else... something BETTER... is happening without us.
So, my intention this summer when #FOMO kicks in - whether I'm multi-tasking through my day or making decisions on which summer activities to participate in - is to consciously reset my perspective. Instead of my allowing my thoughts to take me elsewhere (and to the fear of what I may be missing out on)... it's to fully engage in what I'm doing... in the present... in the now. It's a back basics kind of thing that seems to need to be repeated again and again....
Yoga (and our life) happens in the NOW.

See you on the jungle gym!
