The source of inspiration for my Advent 2020 visuals is the timeless grace of the centuries-old Great O Antiphons. The seven collects (prayers) known as the "Great O's" address God using seven Old Testament titles and express a growing sense of urgency for Messiah's coming. They speak with particular power in this year of myriad challenges.
For many, the "Great O's" are most familiar in the form of the treasured Advent hymn, "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel."  This is an example of the prayers upon which the hymn was based:

I've used my Great O Antiphons design to develop a variety of resources to support the journey through the Advent season, whether that journey finds us gathering in familiar sanctuaries or worshiping virtually at home. The collection includes designs for banners, post cards, bulletin covers, social media posts, and projection graphics that can be adapted for each faith community's context.  My hope is that the resources will enrich  experiences of the Advent season, especially during this challenging year.

Since Advent marks the beginning of a new liturgical year, this is a great time to consider investing in some artwork to visually enrich the journey through the liturgical seasons.  I invite you to consider my three banner collections.
No, these aren't for free ... but just imagine how great it would be to have a beautiful banner available for each season in the new liturgical year!
One of the losses I've grieved this year is being unable to raise my voice in song within the context of Christian worship.  For me, the remedy has been to invite my Facebook friends to sing along with me.  This is what I'm singing today.  Click HERE if you'd like to sing along.
 Advent Blessings!
