Ellie has come such a long way since 2015. At 2 years old she dominated heart surgery and fought off whatever virus was thrown her way.
She’s now in kindergarten and makes friends wherever she goes despite her daily obstacles. Ellie and her family are now preparing to travel to Seattle Washington for a long-anticipated surgery that, god willing, will open up her airway and set the stage to get her tracheostomy tube removed.
The procedure is slated for the middle of May. The Olsen family will be traveling to Seattle and will have to remain there for two to four weeks. With major surgery comes major medical, travel, and living expenses.
The Olsen family is extremely humbled by the love and support they’ve received from the community and from our law enforcement family. They value each and everyone’s thoughts and prayers and look forward to the day Ellie becomes trache free!!
Please help the Oceanside Police Officers' Association ease the burden for the Olsen Family as Ellie enters another battle for her future.
